- Recharges at 30W max over USB-C with pass-through support. Anker markets this as 67% faster than the previous generation. Vendor charge claims: iPhone 17 Pro to 50% in 20 min, iPhone 17 Pro Max to 100% in 1h 16min, both at the phone’s 40W ceiling.
- Flight: ~37Wh is far under the 100Wh IATA threshold, so carry-on only, never checked. But cabin-allowed is NOT in-flight-usable — several carriers serving Cairo now ban using or charging a power bank during the flight. Airline rule, not a product limit.
- Recall check 2026-08-23: A1638 is NOT on the CPSC recall list. The recalled Anker packs are A1263, A1257, A1647, A1652, A1681, A1689. Match the printed code on the unit.
- Identity trap: a supplier title shipped with this batch read "A1259H11 … 30W". A1259 is a different model — 30W per port, 24W total, SHORT FIXED cable, no lanyard. The stock unit photographed by the owner has the long retractable InstaCord cable and a lanyard = A1638.

(2) CAIRO COMMUTES AND DELIVERY WORK — Metro Line 3, microbus, Uber and Talabat riders whose phones drain fast with GPS and screen-on time; 231g in a jacket pocket with no cable to untangle at a traffic light. (3) UNIVERSITY DAYS — AUC, GUC, Cairo University: a full lecture day of notes, WhatsApp and hotspot on roughly two iPhone charges.
