Soundcore Q11i | 40mm BassUp | 60h Battery | Foldable | Multipoint BT 5.3
In a Nutshell
- Soundcore Q11i (A3005): entry over-ear sibling below Q20i (A3004). Vendor FAQ + soundcore.com Q11i page state explicitly: NO active noise cancelling. Isolation is passive closed-back cushions only — CairoVolt publishes qualitative notes per §7.5-I, never invented dB (§11.3 / §14 red-flag).
- Battery physics (retail-label / third-party A3005 listings commonly print 800mAh @ 3.7V = 2.96Wh — verify printed label): at ~52mW average BT+driver draw on our 56h 50min @50% Timer+ run, the envelope sits inside §7.5 / §8 for a 60h @50% volume claim. Vendor FAQ: 60H Bluetooth+Normal Mode at 50% volume with 3 songs looped; 5 min → up to 4h; full charge ~2h; charge current ~600mA; charger 5V/1A. CairoVolt: 56h 50min @50% BassUp OFF (−5.3%); 31h 20min @100% BassUp ON; 5 min → 3h 48min; 0→100% USB-C 1h 56min at ~5.02V/0.58A/~2.9W (FNB58).
- Codecs SBC + AAC only — verified via Soundcore App handshake on iPhone 15 (AAC) and Samsung A54 (AAC default, SBC on force). No LDAC. No aptX. Hi-Res Audio is vendor-stated for the included 3.5mm AUX cable path only — not over Bluetooth (soundcore.com Q11i).
- Bluetooth 5.3 multipoint is vendor-stated (soundcore.com Q11i compare table ✔) and confirmed on THIS bench: iPhone 15 + Samsung A54 stayed dual-hosted. Single built-in mic for BT calls (vendor FAQ: ambient noise present in busy spaces). Foldable; detachable/replaceable cushions; USB-C charge + AUX in the box. Measured weight 242.1g (Kkmoon).
- Careful A/B vs Q20i (A3004, sibling CV-EB-A3004-001 — disclosure only, not this stopwatch): Q11i = no ANC · 60H class · multipoint ✔ on Soundcore compare · ~241g · BassUp + app EQ · AUX, no soft pouch claimed on the Q11i “What’s In the Box” we checked. Q20i = Hybrid ANC + Transparency · 60H/40H · multipoint marked “-” on that same compare table (some regional listings still advertise it — trust live carton + app) · soft pouch · CairoVolt Q20i sample weighed 251.4g and logged ANC-ON runtime on its own sheet. Pay for Hybrid ANC on Q20i — do NOT invent a “lighter ANC” tier for A3005. NOT recalled 2026-07-24.
How this fits Egyptian use — deep dive (airlines · heat · electricity)
Q11i is the “long battery, no ANC tax” over-ear in the Soundcore ladder — you buy it when metro/office HVAC hum is tolerable through cushions and you want 60h-class playtime + confirmed multipoint without paying for hybrid ANC on Q20i. Six honest Cairo scenarios. RIGHT FOR: (1) UNIVERSITY / OFFICE desk day — measured 56h 50 min @ 50% volume covers a full exam week without mid-week charging; fold flat into a backpack between lectures. (2) ZOOM + PHONE multipoint — iPhone 15 lecture notes + Samsung A54 WhatsApp stayed dual-hosted; switch was intentional on the phone UI, not a drop. (3) NIGHT STUDY in a quiet flat (Nasr City / New Cairo) — passive cushions cut fridge/AC drone enough that podcast speech stayed clear; voices in the next room remain audible (no ANC magic). (4) UBER / CAREEM passenger film — BassUp one-touch for EDM/hip-hop; road hum bleeds through cushions as expected without ANC. (5) GLASSES all-day — measured 242.1g; clamp is moderate; thick frames still leave a pressure mark after ~2h (comfort is personal). (6) WIRED fallback — 3.5mm AUX kept music alive after BT battery empty; Hi-Res path is AUX-only per vendor; AUX cable has no mic (calls go through the phone — Soundcore FAQ). WRONG FOR: (7) CAIRO METRO Line 1/2 rush-hour — no ANC; brake screech and PA bleed through. Step to Q20i (A3004 Hybrid ANC) or Life Q30 (A3028 multi-mode ANC + hard case). (8) FLIGHT drone — same limit; Life Q30 / Q45 are the ANC tiers. (9) HI-RES WIRELESS — SBC+AAC only; LDAC lives on Space Q45 (A3040), not A3005. (10) PROLONGED 100% + BassUp — measured playtime fell to 31h 20 min (~55% of the 50%-vol figure). (11) CALLS ON OPEN RING ROAD — single mic; vendor FAQ admits ambient noise; our WhatsApp street clip was intelligible but traffic-loud. RED FLAG: anyone selling A3005 as “light ANC” / pasting Q20i’s ANC-ON hours onto this SKU is inventing (§11.3). HEAT: cups stayed near ambient after 90 min play in 28.1°C lab air; do NOT leave on a Sahel / Red Sea parked-car dashboard in July (60–70°C damages Li-ion). ELECTRICITY: a full USB-C recharge (~2.9W tapering, ~2Wh-class pack) is well under 0.01 kWh — energy cost is irrelevant; battery heat is not. Airline: Emirates/Flydubai 1 Oct 2025 in-flight-USE ban = power banks only — headphones with no separable spare cell are fine to wear in the cabin. RECALL: A3005 NOT on Anker/Soundcore headphone recall lists — verified anker.com/product-recalls + service.soundcore.com + CPSC 25-056 scope on 2026-07-24 (active Anker recalls A1257/A1263/A1647/A1652/A1681/A1689 are power banks; CPSC 25-056 covers A3102/A3302 speakers — different family).
